About Me:
Materials have fascinated me since my engineering days. I have always admired how with simple equations engineers and researchers have predicted complex behavior and those equations were the building pillars of some of the exemplary feats of mankind. Simplicity is the hallmark of all great research in the field of material modeling. I invite you to join me on this adventurous journey to understand materials, solve challenging problems, and be of service to humanity and the world through research.
Education:
Bachelor in Civil Engineering
Jadavpur University (2006 - 2010)
Master of Technology in Structural Engineering(M.Tech)
Indian Institute of Technology, Kharagpur (2011 - 2013)
Doctor of Philosophy in Civil Engineering (PhD)
Indian Institute of Science (2016 – 2022)
Work Experience:
Analysis and design of concrete structures associated with steel and aluminium industries with or without using FE software. Designed foundations of machine bearing structures, ancillary and auxiliary buildings in renowned steel and aluminium manufacturing.
Simulations pertaining to manufacturing processes of composites. Development of script-based tools related to FE model pre-processing, post-processing, handling large volumes of data.
Constitutive theories for viscoplasticity and damage in polymers using non-equilibrium thermodynamics and geometric methods.
Phasefield modelling of 3D dynamic fracture: Investigation of dynamics of crack front waves
