Open Positions in 5G and Beyond Technology Development
Our research group at IIT Jodhpur is currently having multiple open research positions in the areas of Network Slicing and AI for 5G & Beyond, Development of xApps, mMTC and uRLLC use-cases. We invite passionate researchers eager to delve into these areas to join our group.
OPEN POSITIONS
Qualifications for Postdoc: PhD degree (completed or submitted thesis) with first class or equivalent in the preceding degree.
Qualifications for RA: PhD degree (completed or submitted thesis) with first class or equivalent in the preceding degree [OR] M. Tech Degree with 3 years of experience and at least one research paper published in SCI Journal.
Skill Set and Job Description: Research background in Wireless Communications and Machine Learning. Preferably, candidates should possess prior experience in implementing Wireless technologies, particularly those related to 4G/5G RAN and Core Network, proficiency with Software-Defined Radios (SDRs), a comprehensive understanding of telecom standards and technologies, adept programming skills, and excellent communication and writing abilities. Should support other researchers at the levels of PhD and Masters in the group. Also, lead the standardization activities in the group.
Qualifications for JRF: Post Graduation Degree in Basic Science [OR] Graduate/Post Graduate Degree in Professional Course with valid score in any one of the National Level examinations (NET/GATE).
Qualifications for SRF: Same as mentioned above for JRF with 2 years of research experience in the relevant areas such as Communications and Signal Processing.
Skill Set and Job Description: Strong fundamentals of Wireless Communications and Machine Learning, good programming skills (C/C++, Python, or Matlab), good analytical and problem-solving skills. Experience on SDRs is an advantage. Focus on the development of self-learning frameworks for uRLLC and mMTC use-cases.
Qualifications for PA-1: B. Tech degree in relevant discipline (EC, CS, EE, AI, IT, etc.) from a recognized university.
Qualifications for PA-2: Same as mentioned above for PA-1 with 2 years of research experience in the areas such as Communications and Signal Processing.
Qualifications for SPA: Same as mentioned above for PA-1 with 4 years of research experience in the areas such as Communications and Signal.
The desired skill sets for these positions include good knowledge of Digital Communications, Embedded Systems, good programming skills (C/C++, Python, or Matlab). Focus on development of uRLLC and mMTC use-case development and integration to the 5G network and testbed at IIT Jodhpur.
Qualifications: Candidates applying for internships should be registered as a full-time student in a recognized university. Possible internships include winter, summer, and 6 months or more.
