Understanding Emergent Molecular Organization in Soft and Biological Matter
Understanding and engineering molecular organization under chemical and physical perturbations
Our research seeks to understand how weak molecular interactions give rise to collective organization, transport, and function in complex molecular systems. By combining molecular simulations, statistical physics, and experiments, we investigate how molecular-scale perturbations propagate across multiple length scales to control self-assembly, phase behavior, biological function, and material degradation.
Our research is organized around three interconnected themes that explore how weak molecular interactions govern organization, function, and transformation in complex molecular systems.
