Dr. Saran Aadhar is an Assistant Professor in the Department of Civil and Infrastructure at IIT Jodhpur. His research focuses on the real-time monitoring of drought and flood, reliable sub-seasonal to seasonal forecast of hydrological extremes, hydrological processes under changing and anthropogenic climate, and the impact of climate change on water resources. Previously, he worked with Prof. Efrat Morin as a Postdoctoral researcher in Hydrometeorology Lab at Hebrew University of Jerusalem from December 2020 to November 2021. He completed his Ph.D. in Civil Engineering from the Indian Institute of Technology (IIT) Gandhinagar under the guidance of Prof. Vimal Mishra in March 2021. He completed his Bachelors in Technology from the Department of Civil Engineering, National Institute of Technology (NIT), Raipur in 2015.
