This paper presents the designing a miniaturized trapped slotted triangular mounted patch antenna for UWB frequency applications. The proposed antenna is designed over FR4 epoxy substrate. The designed measurements of the presented trapped slotted antenna are 40 mm × 30 mm × 1.6 mm. The frequency range starts from 1.5 GHz and ends at 10.6 GHz for the presented trapped slotted antenna. The overall bandwidth which antenna attains is 9.1 GHz. The frequency of resonance of the presented trapped slotted antenna is 6.8 GHz. The net return loss is -28.19 dB for the presented antenna. The overall gain is 2.63 dBi for the presented antenna.
