About the event

The Department of Physics at IIT Jodhpur is proud to host an International Conference in the field of Astrophysics and Astroparticle Physics, with a special emphasis on Compact Objects and their observational aspects. This event will bring together leading researchers and young scholars for in-depth discussions on current challenges and developments related to compact stars and high-energy astrophysics. The conference will focus on contemporary issues in the physics of ultra-dense matter found inside astrophysical compact objects. Topics of discussion will include the possible compositions of dense stellar interiors, such as pure nucleonic matter, nuclear matter featuring exotic particles like strange baryons and boson condensates, and deconfined strange quark matter. These themes will be explored in the context of recent astrophysical observations and data from terrestrial experiments, offering a comprehensive view of the state-of-the-art in compact star research.
