As an organic chemistry faculty, I am driven by the logic and creativity of molecular design. My research focuses on the development of N-heterocyclic carbene (NHC) and oxygen-donor ligands for transition-metal catalysis, with an emphasis on diastereo- and enantioselective transformations. I aim to design innovative catalytic systems that enable efficient and sustainable synthetic methodologies with broad applications in targeted synthesis, pharmaceuticals, materials science, and agriculture. I am motivated by the challenge of advancing the frontiers of modern synthetic chemistry through the development of novel, impactful, and versatile catalytic strategies.
