Salient Outcomes of Research Works

Addition to Technical Knowledge:

• Unique Z-MRAS speed estimator for IM drive adds to the literature - Stable in all quadrants, less parameter sensitive.

• Unique MRAS based Speed sensorless schemes for BDFRM drive – P-, Q-, X-MRAS.

• Unique flux-linkage observer current sensor fault reconfiguration and fundamental differential approach for sensor fault detection for IM drive – Can address partial  sensor fault and open sensor fault.

• Unique Adaptive Quadratic Interpolation (AQI) based search controller for the improvement of no/ light load efficiency of IM drive – Achieved 26 % of efficiency improvement with 1 s of convergence time.

Publications:

• Most of the R&D works are reported in journals of repute (IEEE Transaction-6, IET-8).

• Filed Four patents on the R&D work. One application has been granted.
