Optical Engineering, Dynamic and Biospeckle Techniques, Digital Holographic Microscopy, Holographic Nanoscopy and Super-resolution 3D imaging.

BRIEF BIOSKETCH

Presently working at Department of Physics, IIT(ISM) Dhanbad as Professor (HAG) with 33 years of teaching and research experience during which I have brought seven externally funded research projects of over rupees ten crore, published more than 135 research papers and guided 10 Ph.D. Scholars and 05 Ph.D. Scholars are currently doing Ph.D. under my sole supervision. I had several administrative responsibilities at IIT(ISM) Dhanbad such as (a) HOD/Physics Department for two terms of total 6 years, (b) Chief Vigilance Officer for more than 4 years, (c) Professor-In-Charge of Central Research Facility, IIT(ISM) Dhanbad for more than 3 years, (d) Coordinator –cum- incharge of Faculty Development Centre , IIT(ISM) Dhanbad under aegis PMMMNMTT, MHRD New Delhi for more than 5 years, and (e) Research experience of working in 03 developed foreign countries i.e. Japan, Germany and UK through AIST, BOYSCAST and Commonwealth Fellowships.

(A) Vigilance Awareness Weeks Organized as CVO-cum-Coordinator:

Organized vigilance awareness week-2015 (from 26th Oct. to 31St Oct. 2016) as C.V.O.cum-Coordinator. It included Oath taking by faculty members of all the departments/centres of ISM Dhanbad, Organizing a debate on “Need of vigilance awareness week at ISM Dhanbad and a talk on “value, ethics and corruption at educational Institution in contemporary environment” on 30/10/2015 at Management Hall, ISM Dhanbad. The talk was delivered by Prof Jose Nandhikkara, (Chief guest of the function) Adjunct Prof, HSS Dept. of ISM Dhanbad, Director ISM Dhanbad, Prof. D.C.Panigrahi including myself on 30th Sept 2015. An invitation was sent to all HODs for circulation among their faculty members and research scholars for attending the talk. A large number of teachers and research scholars attended the talk which was very interesting useful.

The chief guest of the function was. The talk was delivered by Shri P K Manjhi, SP, ACB, CBI Dhanbad (Chief Guest of the function), Director (CD), IIT(ISM) Dhanbad, Prof. R. Venugpoal including myself. An invitation was sent to all HODs/HOCs for circulation among their faculty members and research scholars for attending the talk. Management Hall was full with teachers and research scholars. The talk was followed by question answer session with the chief guest.

Organized vigilance awareness week-2017 (from 30th October to 4th November 2017) as C.V.O.-cum-Coordinator. Oath taking was organised by faculty members of all the departments/centres of IIT (ISM) Dhanbad. A debate was organizing on 31-10-2017 at Situation Room of Department of Applied Physics on the topic “My vision: Corruption free India”. The three cash prizes of Rs1500/-, Rs1000/- and Rs500/- was distributed to the winners of the debate.

First Orientation Programme was organized solely by Faculty Development Centre under the Scheme of Pandit Madan Mohan Malviya National Mission on Teachers and Teaching (PMMMNMTT), ISM Dhanbad from Feb 9th - Feb 29th, 2016. I worked as a Coordinator of Faculty Development Centre as well as Programme

coordinator.

Refresher Programme on “Recent trend on Microwave Devices and Antennas” was organized by Department of Electronics Engineering, IIT(ISM) Dhanbad under aegis of Faculty Development Centre under Scheme of Pandit Madan Mohan Malviya National Mission on Teachers and Teaching (PMMMNMTT) from 26th December 2016 to 15th January 2017. I worked as a coordinator of FDC.

Refresher Programme in Physics with special focus on “Nano-Biomaterials” was organized by Department of Applied Physics, IIT(ISM) Dhanbad under aegis of Faculty Development Centre under Scheme of Pandit Madan Mohan Malviya National Mission on Teachers and Teaching (PMMMNMTT) from 15th May 2017 to 14th June 2017. I worked as a Coordinator of FDC as well as Programme Coordinator of the Refresher Course during the Programme.

Refresher Programme in Chemistry with special focus on Material Chemistry was organized by Department of Applied Chemistry, IIT(ISM) Dhanbad under aegis of Faculty Development Centre under Scheme of Pandit Madan Mohan Malviya National Mission on Teachers and Teaching (PMMMNMTT) from 1st June - 21st June, 2017. I worked as a coordinator of FDC during the Programme.

Refresher Programme in MATHEMATICAL SCIENCES was organized by Department of Applied Mathematics, IIT(ISM) Dhanbad under aegis of Faculty Development Centre under Scheme of Pandit Madan Mohan Malviya National Mission on Teachers and Teaching (PMMMNMTT) from 16th May to 5th June 2017. I worked as a coordinator of FDC during the Programme.

National Training Programme in Mineral Processing: Principles, Processes & Practices was organized by Fuel and Mineral Engineering Dept, IIT(ISM) Dhanbad under aegis of Faculty Development Centre under the Scheme of Pandit Madan Mohan Malviya National Mission on Teachers and Teaching (PMMMNMTT) from June 26 to Jul 01, 2017. I worked as a coordinator of FDC during the Programme.

National Training Programme in Scientific Computing with Mathematica was organized by Department of Applied Mathematics, IIT(ISM) Dhanbad under the aegis of Faculty Development Centre under Scheme of Pandit Madan Mohan Malviya National Mission on Teachers and Teaching (PMMMNMTT) from 4th to 9th December 2017. I worked as a coordinator of FDC during the Programme.
