Dr. Mayank Chouksey is an Assistant Professor in the Department of Mechanical Engineering at the Indian Institute of Technology (IIT) Indore. His research lies in the field of Computational Mechanics, with a focus on plasticity, micro-mechanics and fracture mechanics and failure in materials under complex and dynamic working conditions.
He has extensive research experience across leading institutions in India and abroad. Dr. Chouksey earned his PhD from IIT Kanpur, where he investigated the role of microstructure and loading history on the yield behavior of heterogeneous ductile metals. Prior to joining IIT Indore, he worked as a postdoctoral fellow at Texas A&M University (USA), where his research focused on deformation mechanisms in layered structures and the development of advanced numerical techniques for elastodynamics, and at IIT Madras, where he investigated ductile failure under multiaxial stress states.
He has extensive research experience across leading institutions in India and abroad.
