Welcome to my home page. I am a Mechanical Engineer by training. Currently, I am working as an Assistant Professor in the Department of Mechanical Engineering at the Indian Institute of Technology (IIT) Indore. I completed my bachelor's in engineering from the Samrat Ashok Technological Institute (SATI) Vidisha. Subsequently, I completed my Master's degree from Motilal Nehru National Institute of Technology (MNNIT) Allahabad.

I obtained my PhD from IIT Kanpur in the broad field of Solid Mechanics. My PhD research focuses on the effect of microstructure and loading history on the yield behavior of heterogeneous ductile material under quasi-static loading. After my PhD, I worked as an Institute Postdoctoral fellow at IIT Madras. There, my research focused on understanding the ductile failure process in complex loading conditions. After IIT Madras, I joined Texas A&M University (TAMU) in Texas, USA, to continue my research journey in Computational Solid Mechanics. At TAMU, my research focused on understanding the deformation mechanism in layered structures. I have also worked on developing numerical techniques for elastodynamics problems.

I joined IIT Indore in February 2024. Here at IIT Indore, my research investigates the deformation behavior in solid materials. Specifically, my research work broadly falls in the intersection between mechanics and material science. I use the domains of metal plasticity, micro-mechanics, finite element methods, fracture mechanics, and advanced computational tools to investigate the problem under consideration.
