BASAS was established in 1986 and is now the largest UK interdisciplinary academic association for the study of India, Pakistan, Bangladesh, Afghanistan, Sri Lanka, Nepal, Bhutan, Maldives, and the South Asian diaspora. The Transmodernity Circle — Presidency University, India
Led by Dr. Anupama Mohan (faculty, Department of English) at Presidency University, the Transmodernity circle meets annually to read together theorists on transmodernities and give seminars on literary texts through the prism of the theory chosen for each annual session. I am a co-founding and registered member of the Transmodernity Circle. My responsibilities include:
