Research and Industrial Experiences
Undergraduate Thesis: Mitochondria targeted drug delivery strategies (August 2015 - July 2016)
Thesis Supervisor: Dr. Sabyasachi Maiti (WBUT).
Review project under focusing on various mitochondrial drug delivery systems such as TPP conjugated drug, SS peptides, Mito-porter system etc.
Postgraduate Thesis: Effect of thermal modification on the physicochemical, functional and release properties of colocasia and potato starch blends (May 2017 - May 2018)
Thesis Supervisor: Prof. K. Jayaram Kumar and Dr. S.G. Panpalia (BIT Mesra).
In the above experimental work, starch was isolated from the tubers of Colocasia esculenta and it was physically modified by pregelatinization. Thereafter, it was combined with potato starch and used as excipient in tablet preparation. The effect of pregelatinization on colocasia and potato starch blends was studied.
Research Fellow: "Fabrication and Characterization of Natural Polysaccharide Based Bioerodible Localized Spongy Scaffold: A Potential Role in Augmenting Wound Healingʺ, project sponsored by West Bengal DHEST&BT in the Department of Pharmaceutical Technology, Jadavpur University, Kolkata (August 2018 – December 2020)
Responsibilities: Formulation development and optimization of bioerodible scaffold, physico-chemical, in vitro and in vivo characterization, development of animal wound model in male wistar rats, documentation and analysis of results, annual report preparation.
