I'm Chetan S.V. (he/him/his), and I teach Psychology at the School of Arts and Sciences, Azim Premji University, Bengaluru. I obtained M.Phil. in Clinical Psychology from NIMHANS in 2020, and my Ph.D. in Psychology and Disability Studies from the Department of Liberal Arts, Indian Institute of Technology Hyderabad in 2026, under the supervision of Dr. Shubha Ranganathan.

My doctoral research explored the experiences of neurodivergent young adults, particularly students with a Learning Disability (dyslexia/dysgraphia/dyscalculia) in the context of Indian higher education, and how they navigate the structures and processes of reasonable accommodations.

Disability Studies, Neurodiversity, Critical Psychology, Qualitative research, Social determinants of mental health,  Comics-based research, Pedagogy of psychology, and Psychotherapy are some areas I'm deeply interested in and passionate about.

In my free time, I sketch, sit with plants, play the Veena, collect newspapers, solve puzzles, and listen to old Hindi film songs and Carnatic music.
