Our research focuses on the sustainable design and development of advanced damage-resistant alloys and microstructures for demanding high-performance applications while minimizing environmental impact. With a focus on Cu-based, Al-based, and Fe-based alloys, superalloys, and multicomponent alloys etc., we aim to enhance their performance under extreme environments by addressing key material challenges. Our investigations delve into the micromechanisms governing phase transformations, deformation processes, and damage evolution using cutting-edge multiscale characterization techniques. These include in-situ scanning and transmission electron microscopy, enabling real-time analysis of microstructural dynamics and interfacial phenomena critical to alloy behavior.
