Learning from IITGN Library: It was my 2nd year of Internship in IIT. After completing MLIS i had work with IIT Bombay but as compare to IIT Bombay library in IITGN I leaned lot. How to delivered information, what is the actual role of library professionals and how to deal with users and how to serve the information. IITGN library shape me in various way like technically, professionally and change my view towards the profession.

I was working in Information Technology Management & Scholarly Communication functional division and my major role in handling DDS, Dspace Data entry, Creating Union catalogue, creating data base. In addition weekly assignment and various library visits made me stronger in profession. It was great opportunity for me to work with IITGN library.

Life after IITGN

Currently Working: Librarian, Government Aided College, Gokhale Education Society, Arts, Commerce and Science College Shreewardhan, Dist-Raigad, Maharashtra.

Job Profile: Overall Administration College Library, Orient and increase reading habits among students, provide ICT based services to users. Handle college website. Work as IT coordinator in conducting University examination

Interest in LIS Field: Discover and design web based library services

Goals in LIS field: To find out data analysis tools for researcher. To became doctorate in LIS
