Learning from IITGN Library: IITGN Library helped me to polish my career as an actual LIS Professionals. Of course IITGN improved my practical learning beyond theory of Library Science’s books. Before joining this institute I think library professionals work only for the circulation of the books, but during traineeship I came to know that there are lots of working area of the LIS professional for the entire community.

Life after IITGN

• Worked as a Librarian at Karnavati Dental College from Jan. to Jul., 2013

• Worked as a Librarian at L. & C Mehta Arts College, Law-garden, from Dec. 2013 to Jan. 2014.

Currently Working: In- Charge Librarian at Barton Library, Bhavnagar.

Job Profile: Acquisition, Circulation of the documents to the users, Book Purchasing and handling all administrative works related library.

Interest in LIS Field: Roles of the public library in society. I think Public Library should help to the society in various ways. Many public libraries failed to serve the society due to lack of funds. Such library should get enough funds to improve their infrastructure as well as service to society. My main interest to find or create appropriate source for Public Libraries’ funds for its improvement.

Goals in LIS field: With the help of Profession be helpful to the society by sharing required information to the society.
