Learning from IITGN Library: IITGN professional’s made me better as LIS professionals and as Individual because when you learn at university that was only on theoretical base but when you entered in real situations it is difficult to handle things. But at IITGN I learnt how handle the things in best way. I have learned so many things including soul software & Koha LMS, Zotero, & Mendeley Reference Management System & Dspace & Greenstone institutional repository & digital library software. Through Kumbar sirs’ assignments we were able to know about each and every new things about LIS like it may be institution or new website or digital resources, organization much more. Before I was only a graduate but after IITGN training I became professional. My communication skill were developed.

Life after IITGN

Currently Working: Librarian, Swaminarayan Vidyapith, Anand

Job Profile: As librarian, the all section work is performed by me. Like Acquisition, Circulation, Periodicals management, Reference services, Current awareness service, Binding, Shelf management, conducting library classes, conducting library activities, organizing books fairs etc. I am working as coordinator for different exams like Olympiad, CTSE, Hope online. Taking care of Costume department. Surfing CBSE website every day for circular and CBSE materials. Also work as Invigilator in exams.

Interest in LIS Field: Information technology related to semantic web and exploring other software application available on LIS flied.

Goals in LIS field: Up to date about all new things that being happening in LIS flied and writing research papers.

Academic/Professional Achievement: Gold medalist in MLISc.
