Batch: 2015-2016

Learning from IITGN Library: At IITGN I was trained and developed into a Library professional. I have learned a lot from this traineeship and gained exposure to the functioning of libraries. Major part of my traineeship was spent in Acquisition of new reading materials. I have gained hands on experience in both SOUL and KOHA Software. I have learned Classification and Cataloguing, Circulation, Journal Management, Stock verification, Shelf arrangement etc. Apart from the library duties I could also develop my personality and shape my career. I am indebted and thankful to IITGN family as a whole and particularly to Dr. T.S. Kumbar and his library staff.

Previous position: Library Assistant (Contractual), Tata Institute of Social Sciences, Guwahati Campus, Assam

Goals in LIS field: To pursue Postdoctoral research
