Learning from IITGN Library: I started my professional career from IITGN. My teachers had given an idea about various aspects of Library Science in the classroom of my University but IITGN had allowed me to get the practical experience of the actual aspect of the profession. IITGN had built the base of my professional life. I learned the following things from IITGN like the organization of library resources, its presentation, and promotion, maintain library records, learning, and implementing new technology. I had also learned so many things that always help me during professional as well as individual life. I am grateful to God for giving me such a wonderful platform at the beginning of my career

Job Profile: Currently, I am working as a professional Library Assistant at Ahmedabad University.
My role at Central Library, Ahmedabad University is very interesting and multi-tasking because I get an opportunity to learn various practical aspects. I am involved in following library works:
Core Responsibilities: acquisition of books and journals, subscription and management of online databases, maintenance of internal library website
Additional responsibilities: Work related to HBR Cases, Create Library Membership for the Patrons (both LMS and remote xs), and Plagiarism Checking Assisting head library in the compilation of data (for the NAAC, COE and UGC Committee) institutional memberships and other library works.
Interest in LIS Field: Library acquisition, Collection development, ICT application in the library, Bibliometric, Library administration and Marketing of Library Resources
Goals in LIS field: I want to learn emerging technology and topics of library science which I will try to explore and apply practically in my library for the benefit of library users and professional colleagues. I also want to support my professional friends in their professional development as well as for the growth of the profession.
