Shubham Kumar, Dheeraj Kumar and Rajan Patel, BTech Students have secured the third position in the Intel cup 2022 an Undergraduate Electronic Embedded System Design Con.

Prof. Krishnamachar Prasad has joined the discipline as a Visiting Professor.

The Institute has been granted the first US patent (No.10,973,408) for the invention made by Prof. Uttama Lahiri and her collaborators.  

Prof. Arup Chakraborty has been selected for the Distinguished International Associates Award of the Royal Academy of Engineering, UK. The award includes funding of GBP 10,000 over a two-year period. 

Prof. Uttama Lahiri has been selected for the TATA Innovation Fellowship for 2020-21. She received the award on February 26, 2021 from Dr Harsha Vardhan, Honorable Minister, Ministry of Science & Technology, Government of India. The award includes a fellowship amount of ₹ 25,000/- per month and a contingency grant of ₹ 6,00,000/- per annum for three years, with a possible extension of another two years. 

Prof. Himanshu Shekhar has been selected for the Har Govind Khorana-Innovative Young Biotechnologist Award by the Department of Biotechnology, Ministry of Science and Technology, Government of India. The award includes a research grant and a fellowship amount of ₹. 1,00,000/- per annum for three years. 

PhD Scholars, Ashish Tiwari, Sachinkumar Suthar and Kailash Prasad have been selected as Prime Minister's Research Fellows (PMRF) in May 2020 cycle. 

Chandan Kumar Jha, a PhD scholar has won a Student Startup Grant Challenge from the Center for Innovation Incubation & Entrepreneurship (CIIE) at IIM Ahmedabad. He has won a start-up grant of ₹ 50,000/- for his idea on "rehabilitation and assessment platform for stroke survivors." 

Pradip Prajapati, the BTech student, has been selected as a Cargill Global Scholar. As a part of the programme, he will receive a significant financial award and will attend leadership seminars organised by Cargill in Indian and abroad.  He is one of the 10 students selected from prestigious institutions across India.

Prof. Himanshu Shekhar was awarded the Star Ambassador Lectureship Award for 2020 from IEEE Ultrasonic, Ferroelectrics and Frequency Control (UFFC) Society, USA.

Chandan  Kumar Jha, a PhD scholar has won the first prize in the "Dare to Dream DRDO Innovation Contest" organized by DRDO. He received this award in the challenge area of "Wearable communication technologies for special operations soldiers" for his project.
