📢 PhD Positions Available - IIT Dharwad

Department of Chemical Engineering
Advisor: Dr. C. Ravikumar, Associate Professor

We are inviting applications for two motivated PhD students to join our research group at IIT Dharwad.
Our lab works at the interface of nanotechnology, materials science, drug delivery, simulation, and catalysis, with strong emphasis on mechanism-driven research, advanced characterization, and computational–experimental integration.

🔬 Research Areas

Candidates may work in one of the following domains:

• Nanoparticle synthesis, morphology tuning & mechanistic modeling

• Drug delivery systems & cancer nanomedicine

• Computational chemistry, molecular docking & MD simulations

• Catalysis and electrochemical applications

• Colloids, interface science & advanced materials

🎓 Eligibility

• B.Tech/M.Tech/M.Sc in Chemical Engineering, Materials Science, Biotechnology, Chemistry, Nanotechnology, or related fields

• Strong academic background and passion for research

• Prior experience in synthesis, simulation, or lab instrumentation is a plus (not mandatory)

IIT Dharwad, Karnataka - October 10, 2025:
The Department of Chemical Engineering at IIT Dharwad successfully organized a two-day National Symposium on “Smart Interfaces: Colloids in Medicine, Energy, and Materials,” held on October 9-10, 2025, with sponsorship from the Anusandhan National Research Foundation (ANRF).
The symposium was convened and led by Prof. C. Ravikumar and co-convenor Prof. Ashok kumar Ummireddi, who outlined the scientific vision and objectives of the event and coordinated the overall academic program. read more.....
