Job Summary:
As a Senior Research Scientist, the individual will lead and conduct advanced research at the intersection of Artificial Intelligence, Machine Learning, genomics, bioinformatics and biology focusing on their application in the areas of drug discovery, biomarkers, disease prediction and personalized medicine. Their responsibilities will include publishing research findings, securing funding through grant writing, mentoring junior researchers, and more importantly, working with researchers and engineers to develop software product prototypes and deploy in the field. Engaging with stakeholders such as government agencies, industry partners, and academic institutions, they will drive the organization’s leadership in the field and foster collaborative opportunities.
Salary & Compensation:
Salary: Rs. 9-12 lacs per year, consolidated
Essential Qualifications:
-PhD degree in Computer Science/Engineering, genetics, biotechnology, bioinformatics, biology or a closely related discipline from a prestigious national or international institution.
-strong knowledge in both machine learning/deep learning and genetics/genomics/proteomics
-Two to three years of experience in industry/academia in applying these technologies in drug discovery, disease prediction and other related areas
-Proficiency in software development tools and programming languages like Python, MATLAB, C/C++, and ML/DL development environments such Tensor Flow, Keras, Chat GPT and others.
-Demonstrated record of publishing research in high-impact journals and conferences.
-Strong foundation in software modeling and development in a team environment
-Exceptional research proposal writing skills and communication abilities, both written and verbal
