I am a faculty member in the Department of Mathematics, IIT Bombay since 2013. Prior to joining IITB, I was a post doctoral associate at Cornell University during 2011 to 2013. I was awarded PhD in statistics from Indian Statistical Institute Kolkata in 2011 under the supervision of Prof. Debasis Sengupta. I received MSc. in Mathematical Statistics from the University of Lucknow in 2005 .

My research interest broadly lies in the area of statistical signal processing, high dimensional data, sparse regression, change point detection and statistical machine learning. I am also interested in statistical modeling of climate variables and oceanography data.
