I am interested in developing and applying theoretical methods to simulate chemical dynamics. The dynamical interplay of entangled protons and electrons lies particularly close to my heart. Towards that end, I  am working on projects related to non-adiabatic dynamics and nuclear tunnelling.

Education:

Integrated Masters: IIT Kanpur, 2004-2009

Ph. D.: University of Wisconsin, Madison, 2009-2014

Professional Experience:

Postdoctoral Fellow: The University of Pennsylvania, 2015-2018

Assistant Professor, IIT Bombay, 2018-2023

Associate Professor, IIT Bombay, 2023 onwards

Chinmay Pradhan

Ph.D.  Scholar (2019 onwards)
I am working on developing methods to simulate non-adiabatic effects involving molecules interacting with metal surfaces. I am mainly working on making  surface hopping methods feasible for its application on the metallic systems.
Education: B. Sc: Chemistry Mumbai University. M. Sc. : ICT Mumbai. Email: 194036002@iitb.ac.in
Priyam Kumar DePh.D.  Scholar (2019 onwards)
I am fourth year Ph.D. student working on a project of electron transfer from gold surface to NO molecule. In future I want to develop new methods for explaining non-adiabatic effect, quantum nuclear effect in systems. Apart from study I spend my time playing table tennis and travelling.

Pooja Sharma

Ph.D.  Scholar (2019 onwards)
I am a Ph.D. student under PMRF scheme in this group. I mainly work on using machine learning models for predicting potential for nonadiabatic dynamics. I love to trav, explore new places and restaurants and listen to music.

Harsh AryanM. Sc. 2nd year
Hello! I am Harsh,a 2nd year M.Sc student .I am working on mechanism of EET in photosynthetic system. I am a person who have a hunger for learning as legend have said “I think I can safely say no one understands quantum mechanics”. I am also an avid football fan.
RamanaBS 4th year
IHello there! I'm Ramana, a fourth-year undergraduate student in the department. I've always had a curious mind and a passion for learning, constantly seeking opportunities to expand my knowledge and grow as an individual. Beyond my academic pursuits, I have a deep love for music and enjoy losing myself in the world of books, especially fiction. Nature is my source of relaxation and inspiration, and you'll often find me taking leisurely walks around our green campus. I play a bit of infrequent lawn tennis too, to add a sporty dimension to myself.

Manas NagdaBS 4th year
Hi, I'm Manas, a 4th year UG student. I'm very interested in Quantum mechanics and currently I'm working on simulating a 3 site problem in Quantum dynamics. I want to pursue a PhD and become a professor in the future. I am very moved by the philosophies of Dr. Richard Feynman. My hobbies include playing chess, volleyball, badminton, listening to music (sometimes singing), and sketching. I also like writing poems and shayaris.  I am a trained martial artist and have played till national level in Boxing and state level in Judo.
