I'm Nisumba Soodhani, a doctoral research scholar in IDP in Educational Technology at the Indian Institute of Technology (IIT) Bombay. I am Currently in the fourth year of my PhD journey and am focusing on mixed-method research to understand motivation in electronic making.
At the core of my research lies a passion for exploring the motivations that fuel the learning journey. I'm captivated by the concept of distributed cognition, and my investigations are deeply rooted in socio-cognitive theory. Makerspaces are my playground for exploration, and I'm trying to untangle the complicated threads - different sub-constructs of motivation that propel learners in these creative environments.
With a foundation in electrical and electronics engineering, my educational journey has taken exciting turns in the realm of Educational Technology. The intersection of technology and education is where I've found my academic home, and it's here that I'm actively shaping my path.
