I am a PhD in Energy Science and Engineering from the Indian Institute of Technology Bombay (IIT Bombay) and a Prime Minister’s Research Fellow (PMRF). My research expertise lies in solar thermal power systems, thermal energy storage, heat transfer, thermal-fluid systems, and CFD and Multiphysics modelling.
My doctoral research focuses on the modelling, design, experimental validation, and techno-economic assessment of solar thermal power plants integrated with thermal energy storage. My work includes dynamic system-level modelling of concentrated solar power (CSP) plants using TRNSYS, transient Multiphysics modelling using COMSOL Multiphysics and ANSYS Fluent, and the design, fabrication, and experimental testing of high-temperature molten-salt thermocline thermal energy storage systems. I have worked extensively on thermal stratification, porous-media flow, transient heat transfer, thermal-fluid behaviour, and the integration of thermal energy storage with solar thermal power systems.
My broader research interests include solar thermal energy, thermal energy storage, heat transfer, thermal-fluid systems, CFD and Multiphysics modelling, high-temperature thermal systems, thermal management, and energy conversion and storage technologies.
I hold an M.Tech in Thermofluids Engineering from IIT Jodhpur and a B.Tech in Mechanical Engineering from JSS Academy of Technical Education, Noida.
