Drone flying portal

This portal is used to inform students of prevailing drone rules and to serve as a portal for students/ staff to apply for permission to fly in the institute.

Flying without permission is violation of our security guidelines and will result in sever action.

Flying restrictions

  1. Flying in IIT-Bombay must be 100 meters within the green boundary shown in the adjoining figure at all times

  2. Flying is permitted in IIT-Bombay subject to approvals given by the nodal officers of the institute as stated in the footer of the website.

  3. Flying is restricted to 45 meters Above Ground Level (AGL)

  4. Flying is restricted to 7:00 am to 6:00 pm

  5. Notifications tab in this webpage must be viewed before flight
