WaveLab@IIT Chicago

At WaveLab, we are interested in developing greater understanding of wave processes, complex dynamical systems, and the algorithms which underlie such understanding. Our areas of expertise include wave propagation and quantum mechanical perspectives in mechanics, focusing on phenomena such as scattering, inverse problems, phononics, and metamaterials. We are interested in the complex mechanics of operator physics, open systems, hermitian, and non-hermitian physics. Our research also focuses on the investigation of local and nonlocal causality in linear and non-linear systems (such as fluids), as well as the development of state of the art computational algorithms such as physics informed neural networks and associated techniques.
