Accreditation
Accreditation provides third party quality assurance of Illinois Tech programs. To become and remain accredited, institutions must regularly demonstrate and follow the accreditors standards and best practices. This section highlights accreditors at Illinois Tech.
Regional Accreditation
Illinois Institute of Technology is accredited as a whole by the Higher Learning Commission. Advancing the common good through quality assurance of higher education, the Higher Learning Commission (HLC) is an independent corporation that was founded in 1895 as one of six regional accreditors in the United States. HLC accredits degree-granting post-secondary educational institutions in the United States. HLC is as an institutional accreditor, accrediting the institution as a whole.
Specialized Accreditation
In addition to comprehensive, university-wide accreditation, Illinois Tech’s individual academic units and programs may fall under the purview of specialized/program accreditors.

College of Architecture National Architectural Accrediting Board-accredited programs include the Bachelor of Architecture and Master of Architecture. The Master of Landscape Architecture is accredited by the Landscape Architecture Accreditation Board.
The College of Computing's Bachelor of Science in Computer Science program is accredited by the Computing Accreditation Commission of ABET.
The College of Computing's Bachelor of Information Technology and Management program is accredited by the Computing Accreditation Commission of ABET.
English Language Services (ELS) is accredited by the Commission on English Language Program Accreditation.
Lewis College of Science and Letters' Clinical Psychology program is fully accredited by the American Psychological Association.
Lewis College of Science and Letters' Master of Science in Rehabilitation and Mental Health Counseling and Ph.D. in Rehabilitation Counseling Education are fully accredited by the Council for Accreditation of Counseling and Related Education Programs.
Stuart School of Business is accredited by the Association to Advance Collegiate Schools of Business International.
