I am an assistant teaching professor in the Department of Computer Science at Illinois Tech (Illinois Institute of Technology) 

I am interested in operating systems, embedded systems and robotics. My thesis "Energy Awareness in Mobile Embedded Systems" focuses on modern battery-powered systems, and providing them with appropriate mechanisms to be able to track, account for, and manage energy.

I obtained my PhD in Computer Science and Engineering at University at Buffalo under supervision of Dr Karthik Dantu. Prior to that, I studied Electrical Engineering at Sharif University of Technology, and University at Buffalo.

Besides my academic life, I am a dedicated Nearu Martial Art instructor. I have been teaching self defense to hundreds of students since 2012.
