Director: Carrie Hall is a professor in the Mechanical, Materials, and Aerospace Engineering Department at the Illinois Institute of Technology (IIT). She earned her PhD from Purdue in 2012 and has been at IIT since 2013. Her areas of interest include the control of engines that leverage advanced combustion modes and alternative liquid and gaseous fuels, control of hydrogen fuel cell systems, and the analysis and improvement of energy efficiency in transportation. Dr. Hall is an associate editor for Control Engineering Practice and the ASME Journal of Dynamic Systems, Measurement and Control. She is also a recipient of an NSF CAREER award and a 2022-2023 US-UK Fulbright Scholar Award.
