Windy Goonatillake is a SriLankan singer who was born on December 26, 1997. She sings songs in both Sinhala and Tamil. She became famous after her debut tamil song “Ayyo Saami” went viral on the Internet and became a trend on YouTube. The video had 2 million views in a week. Windy was born in Colombo, Sri Lanka, and currently resides in New York, USA. She is the daughter of Sri Lankan musician and singer Rookantha Goonatillake and Chandralekha Perera. She is also the younger sister of the well-known Sri Lankan singer Raini Charuka Goonatillake. 

Windy sungs several Sinhala songs such as ”Rau Nagee Ahase”(රැව් නැගී අහසේ), Awasan Satana, Api Denna (අපි දෙන්නා), Bathi Gee Dayawa (බැති ගී දයාව). She’s still young, with a lot of potentials. Her first Tamil song, Ayyo Saami, rapidly became a sensation in her own country of SriLanka and became a popular SriLankan singer. Windy Goonatillake and popular artist and musician Sanuka Wickramasinghe got married  on 26 December 2022. She has featured in some srilnakan  songs. After the success of her tamil song ayyo saami she also sung the sinhala version of that song "Numbai Mamai" it also became a hit.
