Achievements

Kumar Sangakkara, has been honored with numerous awards and merits throughout his career. 

As Sri Lanka's highest run-scorer with 12,400 runs at an average of 57.40, his record stands out, especially his astounding average of 66.78 as a specialist batter. 

Sangakkara's role in leading Sri Lanka to finals in major ICC tournaments and his match-winning performance in the 2014 World T20 final against India highlight his skill.

In June 2021, he was inducted into the ICC Cricket Hall of Fame, becoming the second Sri Lankan to receive this honor after Muttiah Muralitharan.
