Elementary school is attended by students from 6 to 11 years old: it lasts therefore 5 years. In this period,

boys and girls learn how to write and read, and learn the first information about History, Geography, Mathematics, Italian grammar, Science, Music and Gymnastics and since a few years also English as a foreign language and Computer Science, while the study of Religion is optional.
