Dr Soumen De obtained his B.Sc. in Chemistry from Ramakrishna Mission Residential College, Narendrapur and M.Sc. from IIT Kanpur. He then joined the research group of Professor Michael at the University of Siegen, Germany where he obtained his PhD in 2013. From 2013 to 2016 he worked as a postdoctoral fellow at the University of Bordeaux with Professor Ivan Huc and Dr Victor Maurizot. Afterwards, he did another postdoc at the Weizmann Institute of Science. Since February 2020 he has been holding the position of Assistant Professor in the school of chemistry at IISER Thiruvananthapuram.
