Gobu hails from Erode, Tamil Nadu. He completed his Bachelor's degree in Chemistry (2018–2021) at Gobi Arts and Science College, Gobichettipalayam, Tamil Nadu, followed by a Master's in Organic Chemistry (2021–2023) at the University of Madras, Guindy Campus, Chennai, Tamil Nadu. In January 2025, he joined IISER Trivandrum to pursue his doctoral studies. He has hands-on experience in conducting experiments, synthesizing compounds, and operating analytical instruments. His interests include sports, movies, and music.
