About PSCES

A series of conferences initiated at IIT Kharagpur gained significant traction within the materials science community. Recognizing the overwhelming response and the impact of such a conference on  area of Strongly Correlated Systems, with the inputs of the Advisory Committee, it was decided to elevate it to an annual event, naming it "Physics of Strongly Correlated Electron Systems" or PSCES for brevity. The chosen name underscores the conference's focus and target audience. PSCES aims to foster collaboration among research groups in India specializing in strongly correlated electron systems. Establishing an annual gathering was envisioned to facilitate the exchange of high-quality scientific ideas and findings. Moreover, the conference offers a valuable opportunity for young scholars and researchers to expand their knowledge and cultivate future partnerships. The conference aims to bring together experimentalists and theorists pursuing active research in the areas of strongly correlated electron systems, including quantum magnetism, unconventional superconductivity, correlated topological matter, multiferroics, spintronics, etc.
