The vision of “Immunotherapy and Immune Engineering laboratory” is to develop and engineer novel immunotherapies, each utilizing distinct approaches such as monoclonal antibodies, immune checkpoint inhibitors and bispecific/multispecific immune cell engagers for the effective management of human diseases, especially cancer. The lab plans to initially develop and engineer these therapies, assess their efficacy in the pre-clinical settings, and subsequently translate them into clinical applications to make them affordably accessible to patients. The lab also focuses on exploring immunomodulatory role of Siglecs, recently identified glyco immune binder molecules and tumor specific receptors for their potential as emerging cancer immunotherapy targets.
