It's time for our annual departmental retreat for the year 2025. With the 5th EES Annual Meet, we reach out beyond the classrooms, hear our experts/peers, brainstorm ideas, bring out our solutions and set our future plans.
The Department of Earth and Environmental Sciences (EES) cordially invites you to the annual scientific symposium from March 24-25. We are privileged to announce our speakers, who will highlight various aspects of research and start-ups that interest the EES department. We will present a poster exhibition which will give different flavours to our current research activities. We also bring you adequate fun through sports and cultural activities. The student and staff coordinators at the symposium aim to send out enchanting vibes through various scientific, cultural, and sports activities and energize the academic environment.
We will be excited to see you at the 2025 EES Annual Meet.
ABOUT OUR DEPARTMENT
EES at IISER Bhopal endeavours to be truly interdisciplinary, integrating principles of natural and engineering sciences to address geological and environmental issues related to the solid earth, the oceans, and the atmosphere.
The Department currently offers a doctoral degree (Ph.D.) and a Bachelor of Science-Master of Science (BS-MS Dual Degree) in EES/Geology/Environmental Sciences. In addition to a 'major' in EES, the Department also offers a 'minor' to BS-MS students. This offers students a unique opportunity to build on their foundation in natural and engineering sciences to solve problems in EES.
The Department will launch its fifth Annual Meet edition on March 24-25, 2025. This meeting intends to encourage interaction amongst faculty members and students of the department/institute, as well as academics across the country and industry.
