Our Lab

The Lab is equipped with a vertical loading apparatus and a fully automated sandbox modeling rig and another manual sandbox rig.

Portable geogenic FEMR recording device manufactured by VNIMI, Russia. This instrument enables the reception of electromagnetic radiation caused by processes of crack propagation. Its major components consist of a pluggable receiving electromagnetic antenna that can measure a frequency range between 5 and 150  kHz, a microprocessor-controlled receiver unit, analog processing unit, digital processing unit, power supply unit, an analog–digital converter, interface card and RAM.

The lab is equipped with the MOVE software suite by Petroleum Experts (PETEX). The MOVE suite is the most complete structural modelling and analysis toolkit available. It provides a full digital environment for best practice structural modelling to reduce risk and uncertainty in geological models.
