January 2024: Bhaskar joins the lab as a project JRF student.

November 2023: Sangeeta got SERB International Travel Support to present a talk on her work on protein bioconjugation at the "13th International Symposium on Bioorganic Chemistry (ISBOC-13) Link" to be held at Singapore on 18-20 December, 2023. Congratulations Sangeeta!

October 2023: Dimpy presents the lab's work on N-terminal cysteine bioconjugation in Women in Science conference (WiSC@IITK-2023) at IIT Kanpur Link.   

July 2023: Vishnu's INSPIRE proposal for PhD fellowship on the chemical biology of bacterial c-di-GMP signaling is selected for funding. Congratulations Vishnu!

April 2023: Dimpy presents the lab's work on Cys detection probe development and Cys-bioconjugation in the Redox Chemical Biology of Health and Disease conference at IISER Pune.

March 2023: Chhaya is awarded the Best Poster Award in the in-house yearly departmental meeting, Interactions 2023. She presented her work on developing covalent inhibitors of c-di-GMP synthases. Congratulations Chhaya!

September 2022: Pooja joins the lab as a project JRF.

August 2022: BS-MS students Anmol, Deepa and Gourav join the lab for their thesis work.

July 28-31, 2022: Dimpy presents an invited talk at ‘FORCE-IICS’ conference held in Agra. Talk title: Sensitive free cysteine detection and rapid protein bioconjugation via facile Michael addition-elimination reactions.

July 7-9, 2022: Dimpy presents an invited "CRSI-ACS Women in Chemical Science Lecture” at 29th CRSI-NSC and CRSI-ACS Symposium held at IISER Mohali. Talk title: Cascaded 1,2 aminothiol-triggered Michael addition-elimination reactions for nanomolar cysteine detection and rapid protein bioconjugation. 

July 2022: Our work on the development of sensitive MADELCY TOF probes for detecting free Cys, ACY-1, and imaging cellular Cys is published in Analyst.

April 13, 2022: Dimpy is awarded the prestigious SERB POWER grant.

November 25-28, 2021: Dimpy presents an invited talk at XXI NOST-Organic Chemistry conference held in Chennai. Talk title: Cascaded 1,2-aminothiol-triggered reactions of Michael acceptors.

August 5-6, 2021: Dimpy presents an invited talk at RSC-IISERB Desktop Symposium. Talk title: Tweaking maleimides for improved bioconjugation.

January 1, 2021: PhD student Suman joins the group.

December 11, 2020: Dimpy is invited to serve as a member of the international advisory board of the Eur. J. Org. Chem.

August 28, 2020: Dimpy presents an invited talk in a webinar session on “Women in Organic Chemistry (WOC 2020)” held at the Ravenshaw University. Talk title: Exocyclic olefinic maleimides as versatile scaffolds for bioconjugation.

November 2019: Our work on the development of a technically straightforward high-yielding aldehyde-mediated bioconjugation method is published in ChemComm.

March 2019: Dimpy has been awarded Early Career Research Award (ECRA) by SERB.
