"ATTEMPTING TO BE FIT, GYM FOR 6 MONTHS"

Gym for 6 months started after summer break where me and my best friend decided that we wanted to take care of ourselves. This CAS project is based on activity since we are actually moving our bodies. From monday to friday we went to the gym for an hour so we would be moving and destressing from all the school work as well. We were motivated to do this because we wanted to stay healthy and in shape after being all day sitting at school so this way our lives wouldn't be so sedentary. This is essential for CAS because we showed commitment, we developed new skills and we faced different challenges. But also because we managed to combine school with other areas of our live's. The project only uses A in CAS meaning activity.
The planification of our project consisted on creating a workout schedule where we defined what parts of our body we were gonna work out each day of the week. The only thing needed was for us to pay for the gym's membership and that's it.
With our planification and schedule we wanted to make sure we were working our every single part of our bodies during the week.
The planification of our weekly work out came out like this:
Monday: Back
Tuesday: Leg day
Wednesday: Chest
Thursday: Shoulders and arms
Friday: Leg day
During the process of these 6 months the hardest part was definitely to stay consistent and to be able to keep going and working out even when our bodies were swore and when we were tired and not in the mood for working out. We had to push ourselves and also find a way to keep school and our personal life balanced while still making time to attend the gym. What we did was setting alarms to remind ourselves we had to go and to motivate ourselves as a team to keep doing this. The realization of this project did not only help me have a better looking body and health but it also helped learn how to stay consistent and how to achieve a goal when you want it. I learnt the importance of perseverance and hard work to get something and I also managed to balance personal life, gym, school while still being complete and happy.
This project was one of the best things that could ever happen to me and my health I was able to learn a lot about myself like: my power to keep going, my physical and mental strenght and of course my abilities to get what I want as long as I'm trying my best. If I could change anything about this project it would probably be choosing another gym since this one always had a lot of people and it made it a little hard to work out at times. I am also very glad to say we did it and the initial goals were achieved we got good health and we made it through the six months. And now this isn't just a CAS project but a new life style that we found for ourselves.
The CAS Objectives that I achieved with this project were:
Identify in oneself the strenghts and areas in which improvement is needed. - Because we were able to note and change the challenges that we faced during this time.
show that challenges have been faced and new skills developed in the process - Because we found a new lifestyle and we overcame all of the challenges in this process.

Show commitment and perseverance in CAS experiences - We assisted everyday all week for 6 months
Show teamwork skills and recognize the benefits of collaborative work - We worked as a team to motivate and help each other
