I am an Associate Professor at the Indian Institute of Management Lucknow. I did my Fellow Programme in Management (equivalent to a PhD) from the Indian Institute of Management Ahmedabad. I am also a certified associate member of the Indian Institute of Banking and Finance.
I started my academic career at the Indian Institute of Management Indore, followed by an association with the Indian Institute of Management Raipur. Since September 2016, I have been serving the Indian Institute of Management Lucknow. Before joining the doctoral program. I served at the Indian Bank, a public-sector scheduled commercial bank, for 3 years.
I am the recipient of the Industrial Finance Corporation of India Best Thesis Proposal Award at the Indian Institute of Management Ahmedabad.
My research interests are primarily in natural resource economics, financial economics, public choice, and choice modelling. My work has been published in Public Choice, World Development, Energy Economics, and Empirical Economics, among others.
I am a member of the American Economic Association, the Econometric Society, and the Royal Economic Society.
Beyond academia, I love immersing myself in Rabindra Sangeet (Tagore songs), reading books by John Grisham and Smaranjit Chakraborty, attending concerts, and sunbathing at remote sea beaches.
