About The Series

The IIM Calcutta Global Economics Seminar Series is organized by the Economics Group of the Indian Institute of Management Calcutta. We invite and host researchers from all around the globe working in different areas of economics to present their cutting-edge research to a diverse academic audience comprising of doctoral students, faculty members, and anyone interested in economics research in general. 


This weekly seminar series in entirely web-based and held over the Zoom platform. This allows us to invite speakers from anywhere around the world and also allows participants from anywhere around the world to attend our seminars, if they are interested. In this spirit, the seminars are usually held on Wednesdays at 8 pm IST to allow people from most time zones to conveniently attend the seminars.

Title: Paving the Road to Re-Election

Dr. Camille Boudot-Reddy is a Lecturer in Economics at Birkbeck, University of London. Her research interests broadly focus on experimental and quasi-experimental methods with newly-assembled datasets to better understand constraints to local economic development and its consequences on the political economy.
