Karan Babbar

Karan Babbar is currently serving as an Assistant Professor at Jindal Global Business School (JGBS), OP Jindal Global University. He holds a PhD from the Indian Institute of Management, Ahmedabad. His research areas encompass a wide range of topics, including Gender, Health Policy, Health Economics, Health Psychology, and Development Economics. With a specific focus on Menstrual Health and Hygiene, Domestic Violence and Women Empowerment, LGBTQIA Issues, and Health and Sanitation, he actively contributes to the academic discourse in these areas.

Karan has gained valuable experience as a consultant with the Center for Social Norms and Behavioral Dynamics at the University of Pennsylvania. Additionally, he has worked as a Software Engineering Analyst for Accenture Services Private Limited. Notably, he has been honored with the Regunath Research Fellowship, acknowledging his significant contributions to the field. He has also received funding from the National Commission of Women to conduct the Women's Safety Survey in Faridabad.

Passionate about social issues, Karan actively engages with topics such as gender and menstruation through various media channels. His endeavors include writing media articles, and utilizing social media platforms to raise awareness and promote understanding. He has also conducted independent surveys, delving into important aspects such as Homophobic Bullying and its impact on Mental Health, as well as the Menstrual Health of individuals during the COVID-19 lockdown. Through his multifaceted approach, he consistently strives to make a meaningful impact and foster positive change in society.
