About the Workshop
Significance
It is well known that statistical data analysis and modeling are important fields for engineering and scientific analysis. Many researchers (including students, scientists and engineers) have made significant contributions in this important domain. Specifically, there are a lot of developments in statistical data analysis tools for various data analysis applications and statistical models of physical processes. The objective of this workshop is, through lectures by leading experts, to bring these discoveries to an interested audience and improve the impact of statistical analysis on the community. All of us are aware of the fact that expertise in data analytics, specifically statistical modeling and analysis skills are in great demand nowadays. In this workshop, many leading researchers (from top IITs, IISc, ISI and IBM) will share their latest experiences in this important domain.
The objectives of the workshop are highlighted as follows:
1. Building awareness towards advances in statistical analysis, models, and application areas.
2. Building communities of research students, educators, R&D, and Industry persons in this trending area of research and development.
3. Providing tutorial sessions, where the participants can experiment with concepts and methods.
4. Building the technical capacity in the area of statistical analysis and tools.
