What is Bandwith?
The maximum amount of data transmitted over an internet connection in a given amount of time. Bandwidth is often mistaken for internet speed when it's actually the volume of information that can be sent over a connection in a measured amount of time – calculated in megabits per second (Mbps).
What is Power?
The power of a signal is the sum of the absolute squares of its time-domain samples divided by the signal length, or, equivalently, the square of its RMS level.
What is Efficiency?
the maximum number of bits of data that can be transmitted to a specified number of users per second while maintaining an acceptable quality of service
What is Redundancy?
redundancy is process of providing multiple paths for traffic, so that data can keep flowing even in the event of a failure. more redundancy equals more reliability.
What is SNR?
signal-to-noise ratio, often written S/N or SNR, is a measure of the strength of the desired signal relative to background noise (undesired signal).
What is Noise Figure?
noise figure (NF) or the related "noise factor (F)" is a number used to specify the performance of a radio receiver. The lower the value of noise figure, the better the performance
What is Noise temperature?
Noise Temperature (Te) is a way to express noise of a system in terms of an equivalent temperature.
What is Deviation ratio?
The modulation index corresponding to maximum deviation and maximum modulating frequency is called deviation ratio. In FM broadcasting the maximum value of deviation is limited to 75 kHz. The maximum modulating frequency is also limited to 15 kHz.
What is Bit rate?
In telecommunications and computing, bit rate (bitrate or as a variable R) is the number of bits that are conveyed or processed per unit of time.
What is Quantization error?
Quantization error is the difference between the analog signal and the closest available digital value at each sampling instant from the A/D converter. Quantization error also introduces noise, called quantization noise, to the sample signal.
What is Quantization Noise?
It is a type of quantization error, which usually occurs in analog audio signal, while quantizing it to digital. For example, in music, the signals keep changing continuously, where a regularity is not found in errors. Such errors create a wideband noise called as Quantization Noise.
What is Step size?
The discrete amplitudes of the quantized output are called as representation levels or reconstruction levels. The spacing between the two adjacent representation levels is called a quantum or step-size.
