The Junior Technician (Library) plays a key supportive role in the efficient functioning of the IIIT Pune Library & Information Center. This position requires strong domain knowledge in library management and a keen awareness of recent trends and technologies in field of Information Management Field. The individual in co-ordinatin with Library In-Charge assists with various library functions, intiates any library administration to collection development, maintainanece of Library-Resourcs as well as asstest, Acquiring Digital Resources and feliciatet to the Students, Faculty, staff and other users of Library. Also he is sole point of perosn in any Libyrary and Information Related query, knowledge of the Insitutte. He docuyment and plays the administraion role any service to librrary users, he plays the secretary in Librayr Purchae Committee, Library Verification Committee, Library Advisory Committee including continuously supporting resource acquisition and development, performing ongoing online database searches, and meticulously maintaining user data.
Library Assistants helps the Library by checking out/in books/magazines/journals, registering new members, and organizing materials. She assist patrons with questions, maintain library databases, and support special events. Her work ensures smooth daily operations and creates a welcoming space for all Library users.
