Introduction

Smart Chair is an interactive new gadget in the form of a chair which helps you to sit in a more proper way and helps reduce medical problems related to the neck and the back

Process:

After identifying the problem statement and stakeholders, out first step forward was scheduling our tasks
Then, we initially began with the choice of the chair for the work.
Our next step was to install the motor for correcting the sitting problem.
Next, we started with IR Sensor so as to get a track for how long the person is sitting or inclining.
Then we insatlled the servo motors in the front and back of the chair.
Then, we measured the average time of sitting and correct inclining angle on the chair.
The data was assembled and put on the code.
Lastly, we compiled the whole project.

Challenges:

Installing sensors without compromising the comfort of the chair.
Using IR sensor to work with inclination was challenging.

Outcomes:

As soon as the the person sits for more than the average sitting time the chair automatically moves to a lower height indicating the problem.
If the person inclines at a wrong angle or inclines for more than the average time, the prongs installed in the back of the seat comes out indicating the problem.
If the person leans forward for a considerable amount of time ,the prongs installed at the back of the chair comes out and holds the person at the proper position.
The person can call the chips dispenser any time he wants.
